this morning I hoofed around the west side and came upon
urban roots, buffalo's inner city community garden center located on the corner of w. utica and rhode island.
urban roots is a gardeners utopia in the midst of one of the more dilapidated parts of the city. Amazingly friendly staff, gorgeous variety of flowers, trees, shrubs, and vegetables plus all types of gardening equipment. I seriously was walking around getting a teary eyed.
at just three weeks old, is neighbor
five points bakery. a completely beautiful bakery and cafe that made me want to jump behind the counter kneed some bread dough. I didn't sample any of the wares, but they looked pretty darn tempting.
please do yourself a service and pay these stores a visit.
